3. ARGILITE CLAY SOIL
Natural raw clay for construction and LECA production
Moisture: 10–15% | Fraction: 0–50 mm
Used in: Road foundations, drainage, substrate, leveling layers
2. CONSTRUCTION GYPSUM
High-purity gypsum mix (CaSO₄·½H₂O)
Setting time: 3–7 minutes | Properties: Eco-safe, antibacterial, crack-resistant
Applications: Plastering, panels, molds, decorative use
- Firing Temperature: 950–1050 °C — optimal for expansion and pore formation
- Carbonate Content: 2–4% — beneficial for the expansion process
- High Content of Silicon Dioxide (SiO₂) and Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃): ensures strength, lightness, and durability of finished ceramsite
- Moisture and Plasticity: 14–18% moisture, plasticity ≥10 — technologically balanced parameters
Ceramsite and ceramsite blocks produced from Bandikhan clay have the following properties:
- The radiation and environmental background of the deposit complies with current sanitary standards
- Despite the open-pit mining method, modern and environmentally safe technologies are planned to be used, which do not harm the surrounding environment
- Low weight
- Resistance to temperature fluctuations
- Low water absorption
- Excellent thermal and sound insulation
- Proven strength performance
- Minerals: montmorillonite, illite, kaolinite
- Moisture: 14–18%
- Chemical Purity: low carbonate content, minimal sand and salt impurities
- Radiation Background: compliant with sanitary standards
The deposit has a stable layered structure, primarily composed of argillites and aluminosilicate rocks. When fired at 800–1000 °C, lightweight, porous, and heat-insulating ceramsite granules are formed.
Based on laboratory analysis, the following characteristics were identified:
- State Reserves Approved: as of August 1, 1980
- Complete Geological and Technological Documentation: available in 3 volumes
- Raw Material Type: argillaceous clay (optimal for ceramsite production)
- Geological Structure: layered and homogeneous, suitable for open-pit mining
- Technological Properties: high expansion during firing, light weight, durability
- Product Applications: ceramsite, ceramsite blocks, lightweight concrete, drainage materials
- Strategic Location: proximity to markets in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and southern Uzbekistan
Bandikhan Clay Deposit for Ceramsite is a large industrial site located in the south of the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. It holds significant reserves of high-quality clay with argillaceous properties. Geological exploration was carried out in 1979–1980 by the Samarkand Geological Association, after which the deposit underwent laboratory testing and was officially registered in the State Register of Mineral Resources.
1. EXPANDED CLAY (LECA)
Fractions: 0–5 mm, 5–20 mm, 20–40 mm
Density: 300–500 kg/m³ | Thermal conductivity: 0.08–0.14 W/m·K
Applications: Concrete, blocks, insulation, drainage
Surxon Build Materials is a modern manufacturer of high-performance construction materials with a full production cycle, located in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. For over 5 years, we have produced expanded clay, construction gypsum, and argilite-based clay soil, and are the only certified expanded clay producer in the region.
Using local raw materials, we meet international quality standards. The company owns its own argillite and gypsum quarries, ensuring uninterrupted supply, price control, and consistent product quality.
We also provide ferrous metal scrap collection and delivery services under official contracts and offer a convenient barter system where construction companies can exchange scrap for our products.
